Mothers is the best non-Zaino claybar I've used. Whatever you do, dont buy Meguiars! You'll spend more time cleaning clay residue than on anyting else.

use the spray, don't be afraid...if you have to much you can always wipe the overshoot away, you don't want to be claying and then hit a dry spot and get a clay streak on your car. they are a pain in the *** to get off...hope this little bit helps.

Be liberal with the spray. If you use the mothers clay bar and you run out of spray, do not make more of your own by mixing car wash liquid and water in a bottle. It will kill the clay bar. But one bottle should be more than enough for a Camaro.
Do one section at at time, like the hood, fender, or a door. Only use half the clar bar at a time. Rip it in half, use one part and put the other back in the box. Also, put a drop cloth right below where you are working so that if you do drop the clay bar, it might not be ruined. Because chances are as a beginner you will drop the claybar. Dont reuse the clay if you drop it on the ground, who knows what it picked up. You'll just be making new scratches as you use it.
As soon as you are done claying a section, wash it. Dont let the spray residue dry on your car because it can be a pain to get off. I let it dry on my car and I had to wash it 3 times to get all the goop off it.
Thats all I can think of from when I clayed my car. If you have any other questions, go ahead and IM me later. AIM and MSN: Nuknfutz99.

I've always used Mother's clay, it's easy to use and easy to get your hands on (don't have to order it
)
I used it on my brand new truck when I got it, you wouldn't believe how much crap is on the paint of a brand new vehicle
it was the smoothest thing I've ever felt after I clayed it then zaino'ed it, unreal
only tip I have is after claying a spot once, run your hand over it gently afterwards. If it still feels a bit rough, go over it again with clay, it'll be smooth as glass
