Post Mistreated Paint on 2000 Model Vehicle....Can i Fix It?

ok, my dad has a 2000 GMC Sierra SLT, VERY nice truck, however he doesn't care about washing it, let alone waxing it. It has sat under a tree since new basically, its kinda hazed over, and has alot of fine scratches/nicks on it...and one scratch i doubt can be fixed anyway, is there anyway to bring this back to life? its kinda hazed over, but i would like to get rid of the fine nicks and scratches too...should i get it professionaly buffed? or can i wax it by hand and remove this stuff?

Any recommendations on products?

thanks,

steve

Start with a claybar and see what kind of contamination that removes. If that doesnt work, then try 3M-39909 swirl mark reducer. If that doesnt work, try a mild rubbing compound. Once the swirls/scratches/contamination is gone, use some Zaino Z5 to fill in the remaining finw scratches and swirls, then use some Z2 to polish it up.
