Leather turns hard, can it be fixed?

When leather turns hard/rough can it be fixed? The top of my drivers side seat is like this, that is how it came when I bought the car used, I assume it is from neglect. anyway to restore the leather or at least make it smoother? Leather conditioners don't seem to help.

Try repeated applications, it'll come around eventually.

I use Lexor Leather conditioner, should I just put more on let it soak in longer?

I used to use the lexol conditioner and leave me seats in the warm sun to let the condition bake alittle and they've always stayed soft (of course its easy to do that when you have a vert ) I would jsut keep putting the conditioner on and massasging it in, nothing much more you can do....

I am gonna be the bearer of bad news. You can apply all the conditioner you want, but it will only stop what has happened. I know this b/c my car was three years old when we got it and it had a very dry line of leather right on top of the backseat. I have been applying condition for seven years, and it only stopped. Since it is just the headrest find a junker and use the one from it.
