I've Zaino'ed, what's next?
Does Zaino offer paint protection or just a polish? When I used wax, I could use a cleaner wax to so called 'clean' the paint surface. Now that I have switched to Zaino, what do you do? is clay the answer to this? Does clay remove Zaino? Anything else? thnx jeff

Zaino is the paint protection. You should find that your paint will bead for several months, showing that the Zaino is still going strong. But, most of us can't wait months to apply more coats!
Zaino uses unique polymers that bond to your finish, instead of carnauba wax which usually has little durability. Also, Zaino contains a UV agent to protect against sun damage. Zaino is much more than just a great shining product. Many people new to Zaino do tend to confuse it's naming of a polish with the generally accepted name which refers to a usually abrasive, but not always, paint prep product that offers no protection but increases gloss on the finish. Zaino is not abrasive and is arguably the best I've ever used for protection and shine on a daily driver. Polishes are used to increase gloss, Zaino is used to increase gloss, thus it's named a polish. But, it can't be called a wax, because it contains no wax... I suppose it's true label would be a sealant, but Zaino Showcar Sealant just doesn't flow well...
I have not used strong paint cleaners in a few years on my finish since I started using Zaino, there's no need really. Periodic claying is all it takes to maintain the ultra-smooth, contaminant free finish. A light claying will not remove Zaino, however it's best to give a light coat after claying to fill in the tiny "holes" where the contaminants were pulled out by the claying, which have no Zaino protection. I have not used abrasives swirl removers or paint cleaners now for a few years, at least on my finish, and I feel that's the best way to go. Every time you use an abrasive, no matter how fine or heavy, you are essentially removing part of the clear coat or paint to restore a better surface. So, why use an abrasive if you don't have to? The Zaino philosophy...
