The Absorber is only for drying, not for buffing or removing wax or polish mind you........

Supima cotton is what you want to look for on the tag, also it needs to be American made and white color only. We always used to use Fieldcrest in my towel business, the Fieldcrest Charismas where their top of the line towel, but Pillowtex the parent company of Fieldcrest filed chapter 7 bankruptcy on July 31st of 2003 and is now defunct. I have replaced my cut and sew detailing towel business with another Supima cotton towel made by another Amercian company that is in busines called WestPoint stevens.

I have bought 1,000 cotton towels over the years of sewing them for my customers but the DF micro fiber blows them all away in terms of softness as the DF micro fibers are much, much finer than a standard bath towel fiber.

Why Supima cotton is the best cotton for toweling:

Look into Cannon all cotton towels (not the large size, the medium sized between hand and body towels)...they are excellent for cleaning and waxing.

Pick up a set of Zymol microfiber towels for final buffing of wax.

Cannon/Fieldcrest is the same company, both out of business.... If you see any Cannon or Feildcrest towels currently for sale they are closeouts...

Cannon and Fieldcrest made some cheap towels like sold at discount stores that are way too rough have coarse grain that I would not get near auto paint....

If anyone want to try the DF towel I will send them free of shipping charges so ya'll can see how good they are....

If you have a Big Lots/Odd Lots store near you, check them for Fieldcrest towels, as they bought the remaining inventory.

Mine were good, no streaks or scratches. They were more of a medium texture, which actually was good for taking off wax. I used it on my new clearcoat paint without a flaw. It was better than a lot of newer towels I've tried so far. As long as it is 100% cotton and of good construction, then it is safe to use.

I use a cotton wash mitt. The Viking cotton wash mitt used to be a favorite, but it's getting hard to find. Check around the usual suspects and see if you can find one.

Viking a few years ago have switched to man made polyester in their white colored chennille wash mit, I would not use it any longer.

I use the NAPA all cotton white colored wash mit under their brand name, its about 5 bucks. Very thick and it will keep dirt and debris away from your paint during the washing process. Most towels do not have deep enough nap to do this.........
