I have rust! Help me please!

Well I'm really not to shocked considering my poor z has seen almost 200k of Michigan roads in it's lifetime, but this is what I have going on in my rear driver wheel well. That whole section from the hole down is basicly rusted through almost. Can I patch that? Or stop it from spreading somehow? As you can see I have a few more spots trying to rust too, so I need to stop this is possible.

Rust is like cancer of the car. You could try patching it or putting a rust treatment on it, but there is still a good chance that it may come back.

Which one is it? I think I have used some sold by Permatex from there, they worked for awhile but the rust still ended up coming back a year later.

I think sears sells a cheap sandblaster. Maybe sandblast that area and then paint it with por15 and then undercoat.

as already stated rust is cancer, get on top of it and always check up on it because it will most likely return

go with POR15, get the starter kit at least. sand off as much of that rust as you can, use that zinc solution from the por15 kit and give a nice coat of por15. Also get the por15 topcoat so whatever UV rays gets in there doesnt weaken the por15 over time. I think you'll be alright once you get it all por15'ed up. Although I live here in texas, I've been thinking to por15 the wheel wells on mine, maybe the whole underside of the car once I get a house with a garage.

the only way to permanently get rid of rust is to cut it out and replace it with new metal. POR15 will do a good job of hiding it and slowing it down though
