how to remove glue from old pin striping

I have just removed my old pinstriping and I am trying to get the glue or whatever it has left behind off. Anyone have any suggestions or have had experience with this same situation? Al replies are appreciated, thanks!

Ronsonal Ligher Fluid, it will eat right through the glue, but it off the car quickly afterwards. I would put it on a rag and rub the glue off and then wash the car. It works good on tar too,

3M Adhesive Remover, you can find this at most Pep Boys stores.

WD40. Then go over the area with a claybar and remove the dirt/grime that accumulated around the edges of the pinstripe.

Well I can now 3rd that! I used it today and it worked pretty d*mn good. Now I have a new problem, my car was wrecked before and the shop that did the work was horrible. There are numerous problems with it and now it looks like they put the pin striping on too early because the fender where they did work has left a yellow looking pin stripe in the paint. You cant feel it and I tried for a while to get it off but in that spot where they did the work it stayed. Well the rest of the car looks really good so it did the trick. Thanks again for the help.

You may want to try a little 3M Scratch and Swirl Remover on the area you're talking about.
