I just got an estimate to paint the nose cone on my car, $285.

 

It also depends on how good of a paint job you want. Some painters do an excellent job, for a price, while others are cheaper for a reason.

I haven't had to have a repaint done in many years, but if it is less than $2000 for the entire car, I'd be suspect about the quality you'll get. Of course, for the absolute best paint job it goes way up quick.

Like Moparman suggested, get some estimates done from reputable shops. Check around with your local car enthusiasts on shops they'd recommend to use or stay away from.

 

From a couple of very good shops, I got quotes of 500 to repaint the nose from both.
