how to keep leather looking nice and is it supposed to wrinkle?
i had this car for less than a week and the leather seats at the bottom where your thigh touches is kinda wrinkling a little, it is very cold so maybe that has something to do with it, is this normal with leather? what conditioner do i use
sorry should have made it more clear, is there anything i can do thats under 100.00? i mean the last guy put on 30,000 miles and the seats didnt look wrinkeld at the bottom where my thigh rests against it, can the cold have something to do with it? maybe when it gets warmer will the leather stop wrinkling or will conditioner help that?

If you paid $100 for it... you got robbed.

If you get the car or the seats new, you have to start conditioning them right away to avoid excessive wrinkles. I started using a cleaner and conditioner kit, but now I use convenient leather cleaner-conditioner wipes like Armour All and now Meguiars. The wipes are very easy to use as well as convenient. I will use them at least once a week or every other week as needed. You should still do a deep clean and conditioning with a leather care kit just to have added protection.
so if i use that meguiars foam leather conditioner and then some say armor all or meguairs leather wipes the wrinkles should stay at a minimum and the seats will be ok? can i just use the conditioner or do i also have to use a cleaner ? do i use the leather cleaner before the conditioner? does meguairs have a leather cleaner or just conditioner? man thanks guys
Yes, it should always be cleaning before conditioning. You can choose between a kit that contains a separate cleaner and conditioner or the wipes. The kit may do a more thorough job in cleaning and conditioning, whereas the wipes are good for quick touch ups and also for maintaining the seats. If you are **** about keeping the leather clean and moist (like I am) you could get away with just the wipes by applying them at least on a weekly basis.
With the camaro (p)leather, the wrinkling will occur no matter what. Keeping the seats clean and most will keep the wrinkling and worse off, the splitting, at a minimum. The seats will still look good...almost as good as new, if you are meticulous with the cleaning/conditioning.

ok tonight i bought meguiars foam leather conditioner, would it be ok if i use a armor all cleaner or wont the two different brands be good together? i will also et the meguiars wipes or armor all wipes, does meguiars make a cleaner?
now when i use the cleaner before the conditioner ok say i apply the cleaner, how long do i wait till i apply the conditioner? when i wipe the cleaner into the seats do i wipe it in until its almost dry?
work the cleaner in until you start to see light residue on your cloth. Follow your directions carefully, and make sure the seats are clean from excess water and solution. Put on your conditioner right after. That should be the general routine, but every product has their own directions.
I've done a whole heck of a lot of research here and elsewhere on the subject of leather conditioning.
From what I've gathered thus far, leatherique ( www.leatherique.com ) is by far the best stuff out there.
Then again it's also the most expensive and the most time consuming to apply.
So here's my theory: Use leatherique conditioner and cleaner once per year during the summer time (the heat from the sun keeps you from needing to use a space heater or other methods of heating the inside of your car)... follow the instructions 100%.. no cutting corners
Then use Z10 conditioner in between about once every couple of months to keep things nice.
As an important side note: leather conditioner does not work very well at all in temperatures below 60 degrees... past freezing it's not going to do a darn thing other than sit ontop of your leather. If it's winter time and the area you live in never sees temps above 60 degrees during this time of year, and you are worried about your leather, I'd strongly recommend using a space heater inside of your car in your garage... close all the doors and place the space heater somewhere where it's not going to fall over or heat anything up too much... get the inside of your car hot like a sauna, and then condition. Keep the car hot inside for at least an hour or so.
If you're going to do leatherique it'll need to be hot inside for several hours.
