Unhappy How To Get Rubber Off The Car From Burnouts

Well the car has ET Streets on it and it always throw rubber all over the quarter whenever I do a burnout.

I tried a bug and tar remover only to smear it and cover the car in black gunk. So then I got a rag and some Gasoline and cleaned it off that way.

Though the gasoline worked, I can't imagine that is too good for the paint, and I can't see the Zaino shine lasting too long against the gasoline.

I heard some guys talking about actually spraying the quaters with some type of wax or quick detailer, or even leaving a coat of wax on there when they burnout and the rubber seems to just fall off.

Any ideas here, would be much appreciated I am having a major problem having to spend 45 minutes cleaning out wheel wells and quarter panels.

Thanks In Advance

Well, you can try claying the area, WD-40 might get it off. You can even spray on WD-40 before to see how it comes off later. I know the truck/dirt racers spray something on to make the mud fall off during the race, But I forgot what it's called
Hope this helps

Try smearing a layer of vaseline on the area b4 doing the burnout. This seems to work reasonably well.

Take care,

I agree with the Vaseline trick. A little preparation will go a long way...

Thumbs up

Nick
I have some great stuff, Its called Burnout Gaurd, Summit has it. You spray it on, do your burnouts and the stuff falls right off. Doesnt have any harmful contaminents, and isnt messy like vaseline or WD40.
Hope this helps

I might have to try that. You're right, Vaseline is a mess

I've heard on thirdgen.org about spraying PAM or any other liquid grease spray on the car, and then it wipes off with a rag.
