Red face How do you get PAINT off LEATHER?

Oh man...I got some paint on my leather seat. Even though it is a few drops, it is on pretty thick.

Is there any way I can remove it without damaging the leather? I tried a bit of Goo Gone but didn't know if that would do more hamr than good so I thought I would ask here.

Any and all help is appreciated!

I would think Acetone would work if you immediately put some leather care stuff on it right after you got the paint off

The concern is that since the leather is dyed, Acetone will take the dye out as well.

I may be screwed...

Try a small bit of Acetone in a small, inconspicious area (like with a Q-Tip) and see if any of the leather dye comes off.

Its pretty much gonna be hard to get the paint off with out taking off any of the dye. I would try some ronsonal lighter fluid. It shouldn't do to much to the seat, It will defianatly soften the paint up enought to get it off. Then as stated above treat the leather. Ronsonal took ink off my freinds 98 cutlass seats no problem. the only thing he had a problem with was the fact that his tan interior is trashed and it made a clean spot on the seat. Just do it carefully and you shouldnt have a problem.

UH OH! Try some medium to fine steel wool and spray some mild cleaner on the steel wool. Try to only rub it on the paint because it will take off the color on the leather if you rub it too much. I think that would be your best bet and safest.

Cool

How about putting some ice directly on paint spot to freeze it and see if spot will lift or chip off.
