How do you dry your car?

I am just wondering what method you guys/girls use to dry your car after washing it. I use the California Waterblade and am very happy with it. I've been using this method for a little over a year now. Before that method I just let it air dry which always left water spots.

What method do YOU use?

Re: How do you dry your car?

I start off with the waterblade and then use a chamois to get the rest

I use a leafblower only because I'm **** about swirling up my black paint with towels or a chamois. The leafblower is good at getting the majority of water off the car and out of cracks but if it's warm out, I get little waterspots all over the car.

water blade for most.. then 100% cotton towel to get the lines/edges...

works great, even on my black 98 paint....

Yup, same as above.

Waterblade to get the majority - then on to a cotton towel to get the rest.

I always make sure to pop the hatch slowly with a could of towel under to catch the water that remains it there before going for a drive.

Waffle weave microfiber. Dries the car with one towel. Then again, I have thousands of swirl marks so I don't worry too much (I plan on getting it painted soon, anyway; and/or getting some menzerna intensive polish II )

Edit: reread and just wanted to clarify that I'm definitely not saying it leaves swirl marks, I was just saying I'm not picky, but the waffle weave HAS worked the best for me.

I always wondered if the California water blade worked, I guess so... I use The Absorber in the plastic tube.. Works fine.

Re: How do you dry your car?

water blade to start off with, then i go over it and blow out all the cracks with my air compressor, then to finish it off i wipe it down with a 100% cotton towel. I never use chamois because they leave fine scratches and swirl marks. after i dry off the car i get a microfiber towel and go over the whole car once again to make sure i didnt leave anything behind.

Then after two hours i still have water dripping from the rear hatch

On my daily driver I use Mr. Clean Auto Dry. Honestly, that is the best 30 bucks I have ever spent. It takes me around 15 min to wash the car and then I just let it set. It also really shines up the car. I might get a few runs on the rear of the car, but other than that it works really well. I think it is just fine for a daily driver that spends almost all of its time outside.

Just in case anyone wants to know, on the Harley, I use S100 total bike cleaner and wash it then i blow it dry with a leaf blower. They I go back over it with the S100 detail wax and it shines like my dads bald head. I would definetly recommend S100 to anyone who owns a bike.

Zaino all the way on the car!!!!

Re: How do you dry your car?

I usually do Mr. Clean when I was the car at my house. If I'm at my friend's house I'll do a Cali Blade and microfiber rag for the hard spots.

Re: How do you dry your car?

also, i do a "shake dry" method! i use waterblade/cotton towel, then i drive around my neighborhood, get all the loose water out, then try it again with the towel... sooo that way, once you drive, its already gone...

Re: How do you dry your car?

Absorber

And i keep it dust/lint free with a california car duster
No swirls, and paint is very brilliant with the duster's light polish
