How do I get this off??
How do I get this off??
Okay so my jelous uncle comes up today to try to get me in trouble that I have been doing burnouts on my car and driving it real hard..which I dont besides give it a little gas once in a while already driving pry 20mph just to hear the engine, and get her up to 45mph.
So I have this black stuff behind the back wheel on the side of my car (smoked rubber?), and that is where he says is the proof that I do that...
How do I get that off? I have a whole bunch on one side of the car the right side, but barely any on the left side.
My aunt, his wife thought she was kool telling me that one side keeps spinning while the other stops...I have traction control that should make them both stop and all wheels just stop spinning.
I just wish people would mind their own business..they own a mustang..go figure...jk lol

Bug and Tar remover will work to take off the rubber. Just use a soft towel and wipe once and turn to a clean area. You will most likely have to throw the rag away. I ruined a sponge trying to clean my rear fender. I have the same issue after going to the drag strip (now I know the secret to keep the rubber from sticking, PAM cooking spray).. I had so much rubber after one evening I used a full can of B&T remover. It takes some time but it works.
So I should wax it then spray some PAM cooking spray on it afterwards?
How does the rubber even get there?
I dont do burn outs..I do spin out frequently from turning corners with a few pieces of gravel. Or is it just over time?

You should be able to blast off the rubber with a standard hose with a spray-nozzle set on jet. If there is to much for the hose to get off then go to the powerwash. Once you get most of it off, use a claybar and polish; then use some quality wax. With a few good coats, you shouldt be able to wipe new rubber off without a problem.
WD-40. Is by far the best tar remover.
I used it to get tar spots off my car, it worked great.
It shouldn't hurt your paint at all, but it will remove the wax.
Just spray it on, let it sit for 20 seconds, take a rag, lightly rub it, should pop right off. Then just hit it with the hose, rinse it off, and rewax.
