good store wax and tire product

first question, what's a good non-cleaner wax that can be bought at any local store?
i'm almost out of fx and i'd like to try something i know i can layer

also, is stoners a good tire product?
i think i remember hearing that somewhere
i'm getting almost out of the tire foam by armor all and i definately will NOT be buying anymore

sorry to bunch the questions up in one thread, just trying to avoid clutter on the boards

NXT has cleaners in it. For a store brand, I think I'd try Liquid Glass. Stoner's More Shine, Less Time is a good tire dressing.

havent seen anything that mentions anything about cleaners but i do see in directions to use a pre wax cleaner and thats it for cleaners. this stuff works awesome though its up there with zaino but much cheaper and you can buy at the store.

NXT says it removes fine scratches and swirls. That means there is some kind of abrasive in it. It may be very fine, but it's there.

Mother's California Gold Pure Carnauba Wax (step 3 of their 3 step wax system).

and lbls1, doesn't caranuba fade quicker than synthetic waxes? (as in, not as durable)

Re: good store wax and tire product

I'm giving another radical opinion, so watch out! Carnauba that has been applied (key word-properly) will give you very good durability and will last a reasonable amount of time. You will have to take care that you do not put on too much product at any one time, and allow your finish to cure a little, at least a day or more before adding more wax.

I have seen some (not all, mind you) synthetics last longer than a typical carnauba. However, I've gotten a year's service from my accumulations with both my garaged and un-garaged cars (right through winter) by properly accumulating and curing the wax, and maintaining a clean surface with a sensible wash regimen and weekly or bi-weekly maintenance with an excellent quick detail product.

Re: good store wax and tire product

Autozone must have recently discontinued carrying More Shine Less Time, as my local one doesn't have it anymore. I think I'll try Pepboys.

Re: good store wax and tire product

Both NXT and Liquid Glass have cleaners and/or abrasives. Mother's has a new line of products out.

My favorite store-bought dressing is Meguiar's Natural Shine and original Armor All (both applied with tire swipes).

According to the Liquid Glass folks, Liquid Glass Polish contains no cleaners or abrasives. http://www.liquidglass.com/FAQ.htm
