Question Good dash & interior cleaner and protector?

Summer is coming...

The hot weather will bake my dashboard again. I used to use Armor All, but it is greasy, and I hear it is bad for the plastic because of silicone oils it contains.

So what is a good dash cleaner and protector to use? Preferably over the counter stuff, but an online type thing would be ok too.

Lightbulb 303

303 Aeropace is about the best going for UV protection, no silicone oils or petroleum and a low gloss. www.303products.com

You can find 303 locally if you want to hunt for it. Some camper and boat supply stores carry it, but mostly it's found online. There are many online sources if you need some....or a Google search will bring up dozens.

Meguiar's #40 also contains a UV agent as does Mother's Preserves. These are usually pretty easy to find locally....

It's really a shame that most of the best products, for interior, exterior, etc, are mostly internet order...... That forces the average consumer to buy the low quality garbage that fills the shelves of many stores. And thus it leaves the informed consumer who demands more out in the cold.....ho hum....

BTW, here is a link where you can get free samples of the 303 if you wanna try before you buy...... http://www.303products.com/main.php?infopage=freesample

Thanks Mike! I'll give the 303 stuff a try!

True about the "internet" thing: I can't buy Zaino in Pep Boys. I have a hard time finding Liquid Glass...only a few speed shops carry that around here. Zymol? I've gotten a free sample of it, couldn't find it anywhere else.

One thing Zaino would need to do if they ever wanted to sell in a retail chain store would be to redesign their labels, that's for sure. Meguiars and Mother's have bright colors and cool graphics to attract customers. Zaino has...uhh...the big Z, and that's it.

Vinylex is good stuff...smells okay too.

I use a giant sunshade so the dashboard doesn't bake. That and the tinted windows really help to keep the car cool inside.

That and I have a metal? shift ****...whatever it's made out of (since it's black) gets scorching hot! ouch!

I use the 303 on my leather, tires, cowl, interior plastic.. EVERYWHERE! It's good stuff, not too shiny and greasy.. just right. I tracked a bottle down locally in the ace hardware store in the boat section..

I use lexol leather products and they work well so I'll take a guess and say that their vinylex product is probably a good product also.

Anyways, if you can I'd try and get my hands on some aerospace 303..
