Post Gonna Re-clay my Zaino finish, need some help

I'm thinking of re-claying my WS6 next weekend since it's about 6 months since I did it last and I think there is some contamination building up on the finish.

I have about 10 coats of Z2 and Z5 w/ ZFX (forgot how many I put of each ) , and I've washed it every single Saturday for the past 6-months since the day I got it. If I use the clay bar again, will I have to use dawn and all that other stuff like when I first used Zaino? Or will my beautiful coats stay intact?

Does the clay take off any of the Zaino on my finish? I just wanted to know before I do this, 'cause I really don't feel like going through the hassle of applying Zaino for the "first" time (dawn, dry, z7, etc...), nor do I want to lose all those coats of polish. But if it comes down to it, I'll do it all over again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just go ahead and clay the areas that need it. A light claying will not remove the Zaino, it would take alot of hard claying to remove it. There is no reason to use Dawn, the Dawn won't remove Zaino any way. You should rewash the car after claying to remove any residue. I'd still use Z-1 or ZFX when you polish on the areas that you clay.

Ah, that's great to know. I'm glad I won't have to reapply all of my coats again. Thanks for the info.

I'm just curious though, why would I need to use the ZFX again?
