Going to the car wash, THEN Zainoing?

I just used a DIY car wash at my apt. for the 2nd time ever.....EPIC FAIL! The brush (that I cleaned beforehand) just isn't strong enough, and it left a lot of dirt.

I can't wait to get my own place with a garage so I don't have to deal with this apartment ****

So anyhow, I need to Zaino my car like hell. There is a car wash place close to me. Should I use that, drive home, and then Zaino it?

Stop using the brush get 2 or 3 buckets and wash your car properly, with a couple of mitts. Most people would only use those brushes on there undercarriage.

What color of car do you have?

They don't have hook up for a hose outside

I've lived in numerous Apts and they always had an outside hose hook up and NOT ONCE did anyone say anything when I washed my car They usually won't allow you to do any actual work on the car, but water and soap is usually not an issue

David,

Get a bucket and come with some soap, just use the power washer to rinse the car and then re-rinse it off.

I would not even touch my beater honda with an awful paint job with that brush! I think the only thing I ever used it on was my tires on the Tahoe once.

or lease vehicles.

driving even a mile down the road isn't a good idea to use cleaner/polish/wax products on your paint as the dirt off the road, contaminents from riding behind other gas/diesel vehicles ect will get trapped in your paint.

do it right or don't do it until you can.

David,

If you go to a car wash that doesn't add wax or polish, then drive home, use some Z-6™ Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray before polishing it, and you will be fine. The Z-6 will take off whatever contaminates got on it on the drive home, assuming you didn't drive through the mud or something. Heck, I've even used it after driving down a dirt road with no problem, I just had to use a lot more towels (one per body panel).
