Getting my black paint to shine like a mirror

Ok fellas, My paint needs a new wax, and this time, I want to do it RIGHT. I have seen a few pics on the internet of peoples cars (black ones) that are so shiny and clear that its like looking into a mirror. What do I need to get/do to accomplish this?

1) Wash and clay your paint
2) Polish your paint with 3M SMR, and/or a paint cleaner if necessary.
3) Wash again, and apply final wax or sealant. Zaino is best known for it's mirror finish and outstanding durability/protection.

These steps should get your paint looking mirror-like. But remember, the more time and effort you put into the prep stage, the better the outcome will be when you wax or seal with whatever wax you like. The prep work should be 90% of the total effort, and this will actually restore the paint to a mirror like shine before the wax is ever applied. In step #2, you may need one or more paint prep products to perfect the paint before you apply the wax. In general, the more work you put into it, the better your results for that showcar shine. The final sealant/wax will just add to the mirror effect.

Computer pics don't tell you anything. I've taken pictures of my car after driving it in the rain and it looked like brand new.

I think that a rotary buffing is the the best way to get a perfect shine.

Also try some of that color cure stuff from turtle. It helps it out a lot I think. I used some of it on my red 93 and it made a huge difference. I would use the color cure first, then re wax it with liquid glass. Pretty smooth It sucks though because now I have the 2000 and it is that pewter color, no go because they have no color to match it. I know they have black. For 6 dollars a bottle, it's worth a shot unless your tried it already.

Surface prep is everything, getting the surface to look it's best. Like MikeLS sugested, do it right. Once you get it looking its best, then you will want to protect it to keep it that way. Go with the Zaino, it will give it the look you want AND protect it better than anything else will. Since Zaino stacks, the more layers you will have, the better it looks and the better it protects.
