Fresh paint... can I atleast detail spray??

I had my car repainted last march, and was told to not put any waxes or polishes on the paint till it fully cured after 6 months. I hate not having any sort of protection on the car, even though it's sittin in the garage since feb (minus the time i drove it to get painted, and drove it back). Would it be safe for the paint if I use my Eagle One Wet detail spray after I wash the car? It adds some protection and adds a smoothness to the car too. Any paint experts know?

6 months is a long time for paint cure. You should be fine after 3 months.

I use Eagle One Wet Polish and Wax. Do you know if it would harm the paint job?

Get a 2nd opinion, but Zaino should still be safe on the paint as it is a non-abrasive, and forget what it is, but it lacks something that makes most waxes unsuitable for being applied right after new paint.

Check into it.

It's been what, 4 months since the paint job? That's enough time for the paint to cure. You should be ok to use any wax you like.

Zaino is not good to apply right over fresh paint. In fact, I would assume that siince it's actually a sealer, not a wax or polish, that it would be even worse than a wax. It will seal in all the solvents that need to evaporate to cure the paint. Failure to let the paint cure will keep the paint soft, and severly shorten the life of the paint job.

I got the car back in the end of March after it was done being painted. So it's been roughly 2 months. I paid 1500. It wasn't to bad of a price, but it was also because I was getting another car painted right after. So he cut me a deal.

Ah, ok. I would hold off on the waxing for at ealst another month then. As for the detailer spray, I'm not exactly sure what all the "ingredients" are in those, so I'm not going to say if it's safe or not.

With Zaino, you can apply it within 1-2 weeks after being painted. I've even know people who applied a coat of Z-2 or 5 (without ZFX) before it even left the shop with no problems. Just don't use the Z-1 or ZFX for 2 weeks.

Yeah I was about 95% sure that my body guy told me that nothing in Zaino prevents the paint from curing still, so unlike wax, you can use it as soon as you want. What is it that is different, I cannot for the life of me remember... seems like other waxes have polyurethane or somethin in them and that is why they seal the paint to much for it to cure.

You can go ahead and use Zaino. It's perfectly alright.

I would say go ahead on the Zaino as well, I had my doors repainted a month ago and they said it would be fine to wash and wax them after 2 weeks.

It depends on the paint as well....some will recommend 2 weeks, some 2 months.

I'm not sure the brand of paint or the type. I was just told to let it cure for 6 months and use a mild soap when washing it.
