Fresh paint... can I atleast detail spray??
Fresh paint... can I atleast detail spray??
I had my car repainted last march, and was told to not put any waxes or polishes on the paint till it fully cured after 6 months. I hate not having any sort of protection on the car, even though it's sittin in the garage since feb (minus the time i drove it to get painted, and drove it back). Would it be safe for the paint if I use my Eagle One Wet detail spray after I wash the car? It adds some protection and adds a smoothness to the car too. Any paint experts know?

try this section.

certain chemicals will take off some of your clearcoat to make your car look better. you don't want this on a new car, so i'd say ask the folks in that section.

i'm totally blanking on the name of some board for detailing type stuff.
it's something close to autopia.com (which i was thinking, but i was wrong). look around for names like that. the whole board is about cleaning your car.

usually you only have to wait about 3 months or so. but id take your painters advice on the waiting period. you can still use a detail spray as long as it doesnt have any carnuba in it and as long as its not a booster wax.
