Facia cracks repairing

My camaro had a 5-10 MPH colision with a work van"s rear bumper, which resulted in some mild to moderate cracking thru the facia at point of impact. The cracks can be manually thrust back into correct position, and i was wondering has anyone with similar facia damage had any luck, bonding with some type of glue, or whatever, which will close these cracks as well as hold?
If so which adhessive did you use that worked. I'm not looking for someone's off the wall "suggestion's"(like hey try elmors glue or clear silicone), just responses from people in the Know, please.

Some details: the cracks are under the passenger side between the headlight and the foglight area at the very front tip, and about 16" in length. If there is an adhessive that is suitable, i was planning on drilling a few holes in order to position some screws on both sides of the cracks in which to tie together with some thin wire, to hold the 2 areas together, long enough for the epoxy/ adhessive to cure.

the damage really detracts from the beautiful edge of the facia; but, i can't afford the new facia and paint-job to remedy it like i would like at the present time.

I bunged up the fascia on the Civic back in the first snow last December. When I got if fixed, there was a discussion of repaired bumper covers. I got an OEM one, because that was all that was available (insurance was covering it -- less my deductible). Anyway, I think if you do a search, you may find a bumper cover repair outfit. If you have trouble, shoot me a PM and I'll ask my body shop where to go.

No doubt "THAT" is in the future if not near future. I'm looking for information for adhessive / bonding glue type compound to use of this type of plastic/resin bumper material ,...so i can do a simple quick temporary fix,....Just to hold me over till that event takes place. I'm not trying to put the body shops or junkyards out of business or anything. It appears that the stuff i'mwanting doesn't even exist,...just curious if there is ?

anyone???

I always hear that people have problems finding parts for there Camaro or Trans Am. Good thing for me I have a junkyard that deals with only Camaro and Trans Am. Its in San Jose, Ca. They have a huge yard and warehouse that has thousands of hard to find parts.

It's pretty tough to do repairs on those bumper covers because of the material they're made of. Fiberglass I think has a different expansion/contraction rate than the bumper cover material, so you end up getting cracks right back in the same place.

Gost97ta, sent me a link " www.urethanesupply.com", which appears to have a solution for the quick fix i'm looking for.

I'm not seeking a professionally done results "look", just a short term "quick fix", that looks less trashy, than the cracks. The final fix will be a body shop installing a new facia/frnt bumper, with body matched artic white paint, bringing it back to "like-new" appearance; but until then maybe a temporary mend is possible. Now with me using the Camaro as my primary mode of transportation, and just had new convt. top installed 2 days ago, i need to keep the appearance tip-top on the cheap, till my finances can absorb the impact of the "body shop" hit to my wallet.

i thought of that right from the get-go, but thought that would look pretty fugly as well....so i didn't feel the urge to replace some cracks with something well that "some people (not me though) think bras give a vehicle a trashy look. No disrespect if you like them!
thanks all the same, tho!

Don't like them either. To me its like this, Would rather have trade your broken leg for a broken arm? Glued up cracks are not gonna look any better then a bra
