Dust behind plastic protecting gauges
Dust behind plastic protecting gauges
Is it easy to take off the plastic piece that covers the gauge cluster? I see some dust that has accumulated behind there somehow and I'd like to get it out.
Here's what you have to do to remove the instrument panel:
1) With both hands, gently pull on the plastic outside piece (this has the far left side vent in it, the switch for the fog lights etc.) It is held on by a bunch of metal tabs. Tilt the steering wheel to allow the outside cover to be removed.
2) The instrument panel itself is held on by a series of small bolts. Remove those, and pull (gently). The panel comes right off.
3) Remove the screws holding the plastic cover over the instrument panel. Set that aside, be careful not to scratch it.
4) Clean up the dust, and reverse the above for reassembly.
