Does anybody know if they make "guards" so you seatbelt doesn't scratch your console?
Does anybody know if they make "guards" so you seatbelt doesn't scratch your console?
I just got my car last month. The interior is IMMACULATE. I looked to see how the console and kick panels were (becuase on ALL camaros, they are usually scratched up), and they were actually fine.
So the other day I took a look down the side of my seat, to notice that the seatbelt has been grinding against the side of the console, and now there is a HUGE ugly scratch there
Do you know where I can find a "guard" for the seatbelt "lock" (you know, the thing you push to take off your seatbelt?)
Any help would be great. I hate knowing that things like this were fine when I bought the car, and now its all ugly
Thanks again!

What I did was get some self-adhesive velcro in the color that matched my interior and used the "soft" portion to act as a guard for what you are talking about. A little rubbing alcohol to clean the surface then cut a piece to go right on the latch where it was rubbing on the console. I also but I put a piece on the belt guide that attaches to the floor on the outside of the seats. I saw that it was rubbing on the hard plastic trim on the outside of the seats. Now I dont' have to worry about my console and seat trim pieces getting scratched.

I came up with with something to protect the console from getting scratched up from the seatbelts. Go to your local Home Depot and get 2 inch wide black velcro, with self adhesive backing. You wont be using the coarse side of the Velcro, but the fuzzy part that it attaches to. Cut about a 3 to 4 inch lenght of this and place it on the back side of the seatbelt. This will protect the console from getting scratched up, or from it getting any worse, and it isnt really noticable. As far as the kick panels go, I havent come up with anything good for them. I might just order a new set through my local dealer and keep them in a safe place until I come up with something. I hope this help out.
