Difference in Porter Cable models.

I'm looking into getting into body work mostly for my truck and impala, but I'm sure it will get used on my camaro too.
But what are the differences in the Porter Cable 7424 model and the 7336SP model. The specs look exactly the same on their site, only difference is the amps drawn. Is the 7336sp more of a sander that can be used for polishing, and if so what would you recommend for mild to moderate body work(repainting hood and top of truck and removing some serious swirls in the impala)?

Also anyone know of a cheaper place to get a Porter Cable?

Wierd... I didn't know that PC had two different Models... They literally look the exact same. Either way, I'd recommend the PC Orbital polisher to any novice to detailing, as they're easy to work with, and you'd be hard-pressed to do damage with it. Just get a good polish/wax to work with. I recommend Autoglym, or Meguiars, but everyone has their favourites.

Check Ebay, I've seen them there for great prices.

The PC 7424 is the random orbital buffer that most everyone uses for polishing. The 7336 is technically a sander. I think they're pretty much identical except for some of the accessories.

A random orbital buffer will safely help remove the paint swirls on your Impala. In contrast it sounds like you need to strip some paint from your truck, in which case you'll be doing some sanding and actual body work.

I'll PM you with a good detailing supply for the PC and accessory purchases, as they aren't a sponsor here. FWIW I purchased my PC 7424 from eBay as well.
