Well, it was a long and tiring two days, but overall I was pretty pleased with everything.

Day 1

First up was a ’99 Dodge Viper ACR w/ 30,000 miles. He wanted a good clean-up and something that would last. This was the first Viper I’ve done. It was pretty easy to work with and on, but the water liked to drip forever from the front of the doors. The wheels were also a pain, but they came out pretty nice.

Interior:

-Vacuum
-Zaino leather treatment

Exterior:

-Simple Green 1:3 wheels/tires/wells
-Zaino Z7 wash
-Zaino Z18 clay with Truck Gloss lube
-Menzerna PO106FF with polishing pad at 1500 rpm
-Zaino Z5 Pro x 2 (zfx’d)
-Zaino Z8
-Zaino Z16 on tires
-Zaino ZPC on exhaust tips
-Sprayway on all glass

Next up was ’93 Mustang GT 5.0 w/ 32,000 miles. This thing is mint – probably the nicest I’ve ever come across. He, too, just wanted a good cleaning and something that would last. The sun was going down fast when I was taking pics of the next two.

Exterior:

-Simple Green 1:3 wheels/tires/wells
-Zaino Z7 wash
-Zaino Z18 clay with Truck Gloss lube
-AIO with polishing pad via PC at 5-6
-Zaino Z5 Pro
-Zaino Z8
-Zaino Z16 on tires
-Sprayway on glass

Pics:

I picked this one up at the last second when I was washing the Mustang. He just wanted an exterior wash, but it looked like this thing had been sitting in a dirt field.

Exterior

-Simple Green 1:3 wheels/tires/wells
-Zaino Z7 wash
-Zaino Z6
-Zaino Z16 on tires.

Day 2

This day started out quite cold (35 degree windchill), completely overcast, and 30 mph winds. This truck is a daily driver / winter vehicle. It was suffering from a good bit of oxidation, etc. I didn’t step in too hard, but gave it a light overhaul and some good protection.

Interior:

-Vacuum
-Simple Green 1:10 on carpets and interior panels

Exterior:

-Simple Green wheels/tires/wells
-Zaino Z7 wash
-Zaino Z18 clay
-Prime Strong via light cutting pad with PC at 6
-Zaino Z2 Pro
-Zaino Z8
-Zaino Z16 x 2 on tires
-Sprayway on all glass

Half and Half:

And to finish it all off, I did this GN which is capable of 10s down the 1320’. Similar to the S-10 and Mustang, he wanted a good clean-up and lasting protection.
Interior:

-Vacuum
-Meguiar’s Interior Quick Detailer

Exterior

-Zaino Z7 wash
-Zaino Z18 clay with Truck Gloss lube
-AIO with finishing pad via PC at 5
-Zaino Z2 Pro
-Zaino Z8
-Zaino Z16 on slicks n skinnies
-Sprayway on all glass

Can't really tell much from pictures.

Claybar and polish are the places to start.

Great work Zane. You use the Porter-Cable 7424? What can you tell me about that Sprayway stuff you've been using, the best thing I've found so far is Stoners' Invisible Glass.

I deleted those pics since they were no help. Zaneo ill pm you some up close pics of the paint to see what you think, but not today. Seems like there is no gloss anymore to the paint. all i want to know is, would it be possible to make it shine just alittle bit better so i wont need a paint job in the near future or is the paint just too far worn.

thanks for your help,
Greg

PSU 98 - I use a rotary and a PC. Sprayway is pretty similar to Invisible Glass...just happens to be what I have around right now.

Also, do you ever apply or remove the Zaino polishes with the PC?
