Detailing order

I washed my car twice with Dawn. Then did the Mothers clay bar, Mequires Polish, and finally gold class, two coats. Is this the best order? I wanted Zanio, but my wife says I have to use up all this stuff first. I do have body scub and scratch x. Should I encorpriate these also? I use the BB&B towels with the cotton logo.

You should wash again after the claybar just to remove any clay residue. Other than that it sounds like you have it down pat.

When you say that you washed your car with dawn, do you mean like the dish soap stuff?? If so, I thought that stuff was bad for your paint and it stripped the paint of its nutrients etc.

That gold class stuff is so nice.

The clay bar stuff, whats that like to use, somehow my car has managed to get overspray form somewhere, and it's everywhere and white! I was told to use that clay bar, easy or difficult??

Thanks

I used dawn, for dishes. I was told it strips all the old wax. Clay bar was easy. I had some old road paint I must have driven though, it would not get it off though. My paint is smooth as hell now. I still cant get all the swirls and waterspots out though.

Dawn is used to strip old carnabu wax off before applying products like Zaino that do not contain carnabu. Its a good prep step in order to get the best shine.
