Post Confirming Zaino Process

It's me again; sorry to litter the board but I hope to get my first shipment of Zaino tommorow and don't want to mess anything up. I just want to make sure I've got the Zaino process down correctly:

Dawn > Clay Bar > Z-1 > Z-5 > Z-16 > Z-2

Then the 24 hour wait.

Any problems with this process? This is the first time my car has been Zaino'd.

Thanks,
Josh

I would wash again after the claying with Dawn. Also I think you intended to write Z6 after the Z1/Z5 layer. Then you must wait 24 hrs before the next coat of Z2/Z5 for proper curing time, especially if you are in a cold climate.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Zaino. You will love the results which gets better with each additional coat.

Yep, I agree with blkZ. Otherwise your steps are correct Josh. Only thing I would add is that if your car has heavy swirls or moderate scratches on the finish, that you use a good swirl mark remover or cleaner after the clay. Cleaners are also important in removing surface oils/films, oxidation, etc and restoring your paint if it's neglected to bring back the natural gloss. Of course, if your paint already looks swirl/scratch free and has a like-new appearance already, you could skip the cleaner/polish step. If you decide you might need to improve the condition of your paint before Zainoing, I'd suggest Meguiar's Medallion Premium Paint Cleaner or 3M SMR 39009.

Congrats and enjoy your Zaino. It's a breeze to use and looks really !
