Post Colored polishes

Has anyone had any experience with the color specific polishes? not the wax kind, but a polish kind. I was looking at a turtle wax brand of car polish that is supposed to match with silver finishes ( my car is Sebring Silver). Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

It is pretty well a junk product, what they don't tell you is that your newer car is clear coated, the pigment in the polish never comes into contact with your colored paint layer, it makes no sense putting a tinted polish on top of a coat of clear paint.

I tried one of these once and it seemed that the swirl marks were so shallow that not enough pigment remained in them after the excess was wiped away.

Now that I think about it, I think it was the wax type stuff.

That color matching Turtle Wax crap is full of ****. Your car should have a clear coat on, which has no color pigment, so basically it's like an ultra thin layer of glass over color, so using Turtle-Whack is like painting up another pigment on top... One that won't fit the original color below. Buy Zaino, it's much better.

By the way, I do have a friend who used the color matching Turtle-Whack on his nice black '02 Maxima, I laughed at him and he almost shot himself at the crappy results.

I am currently using the black wax. It's come along pretty good so far. What do you guys suggest for a wax besides zaino? I am thinking of washing my car with dish soap this weekend, then giving it a FULL GOOD polish. What do you guys suggest? Thanks.
