cleaning rocker panels

Anyone have any tricks for cleaning rocker panels? I am the second owner of my car and obviously the first owner never cleaned them. Kinda like baked on crap on them, Tar and road grime. Almost like you need sand paper to get the stuff off.

Try liberal amounts of bug and tar remover and LOTS of elbow grease, when you get it cleaned up as best you can and it's still not as clean as you want it use a clay bar on it,they work great !

Spray it down several times with WD-40 before hand... let it soak it for a couple of minutes and keep spraying it to keep it wet... don't let the WD-40/grime dry while it's soaking it.

Then just wide it off with a rag.

If there is still stuff left behind you probably should use a clay bar.

I'll vote for a clay bar and Meguiar's Body Scrub.....

For clay, try Mother's or ClayMagic.....
