Cleaning my wheel, help!

last night i went to the track and spun like a ****. being only one wheels spins, i kicked up a lot of the track goo all over my body, wheel, and exhaust tip. i bought some bug and tar remover and scrubed for 20 min to finally cleaned it off the paint. i bought some meguires wheels cleaner and it didn't do a thing for the wheel. what can i use that will safely remove that tar like crap from my wheel and exhaust tip? i have polished ws6 wheels and i don't want to have a ruined one. please help me out, thanks.

Yeah thats some good stuff, as is brasso, but make sure you protect the wheel with some wax after using an agressive metal polish like that, it will eat the clear coat right off your wheel with the tar.

Your wheels are clear coated the same as your paint, so the bug and tar remover shouldn't hurt them any. Lacquer thinner or brake cleaner will remove tar very very easily but can scratch.
