Re: Clay Bar

They're not all the same. Meguiar's is lower quality than the others.

Re: Clay Bar

Since you use Zaino, use theirs, you get 2 bars instead of 1.

Re: Clay Bar

I can't tell you the chemical compositions of the different bars, but I know from experience the Meguiar's doesn't work as well as Zaino or Clay Magic.

Re: Clay Bar

I use the Zaino bar and am very happy with it. I've tried the Mother's bar and didn't care for it at all.

Re: Clay Bar

I have used Mothers and Zaino clay bars. The clay of each looks/feels very similar. I did not like the Mothers as much as the Zaino. Maybe the difference is in the lube used. If I remember correctly (it has been a couple years since I used it), Mothers uses a quick detail spray as its lube. I did not like the residue it left behind--difficult to remove or moreso than Zaino. Zaino leaves a residue too, but since it is based on their carwash soap, it rinses away easily.

Re: Clay Bar

No matter what kind of clay bar you use, you can use a drop or two of car wash in 16 ounces of water, the big companies tell you to use their detail spray so naturally this increases their detail spray sales.

Re: Clay Bar

agree with above - also Zaino has been my claybar of choice, but only because I order it with everything else. Ive never noticed much difference in claybars.
