Its a simple procedure. Wash, spray on lubricant, then rub the area with the clay bar, and when it picks a lot of dirt up then fold it over. Should feel nice and smoothe when its done.

Rip off little peices of the clay bar don't use the whole thing at once it keeps the dirt inside of it and it can scratch your car.
So just tear a little peice off use it and throw it away and make sure you keep the surface your working with wet with the lubricant.

I have a question while we're at it.

Which one of the wal-mart brands are we NOT supposed to use? See, its been awhile since I used the clay bar and remember at the time everyone was saying don't use ____________ .

Meguiar's clay is the POS. Clay Magic and Mother's both work good. Use plenty of lube.

Yes, the key is the lube. You cant hurt the paint by keeping it too wet. Cause the clay works as no matter how wet it is.

I've used Mother's and currently use the Zaino clay bar...both work well, the key of course is to keep the surface cool and lubricated.
