Is their any Polishes/waxes/ or chemicals thatw ill make
rougher/old paint look better and shinier?

NuFinish....contains pretty strong cleaners for cleaning up rough older finishes.

Also, most cleaner waxes will do a decent job, unless the paint is in pretty bad (oxidized) shape. 3M makes some pretty strong cleaner waxes, Meguiar's makes a fairly strong C/W, etc....

This site shows the 3M Medium Cut Cleaner wax, which would probably work OK for you.

For something quick and generally easy (although not very durable) just go to WalGreens, WalMart, or Target and grab the NuFinish for $6.
