Post Cat Scratches

Neighborhood cat scratched the top trunk lid of my brand spankin new 02' Mettalic Blue Camaro. Any way of "buffing" out scratches without spending a lot of $$?

Arg...I have a cat, but if it ever scratched my car.....!

Anyhow, try some Meguiar's Scratch X or 3M SMR #39009, both usually less than $10. Both are lightly abrasive, rub with medium pressure over the scratch, then buff clean and rewax the area. If the scratches are more severe it may require a stronger product or more complicated process, but I'd start with the light abrasives first then work from there.

1) Shoot the cat.

2) Hope the scratches come out with the above advise.
