Car show detailing tips?

i'm going to be in the SLP car show in orlando on sat and i was wondering what some good things i could do to make my car look nice. i'm obviously going to wash it before. i waxed it a week ago w/ meguiars gold class, going to use some meguiars scratch x to remove some minor scratches and swirls, bought some automotive glass cleaner w/ no amonia to clean the inside of my windows, going to vaccum, and clean out my engine the best i can. what should i use to clean out the engine? should i use armor all on anything in my engine or on my tires? i hate the stuff so i never use it, but i will if it will look better at the show. thats all i can think of that i'm going to do. i also polished my wheels last week too. anything else i'm forgetting? should i print up something showing a list of mods done to the car? thanks for any info you guys suggest.

Cool

Sounds like you got most of the stff covered. A clean engine compartment makes a big difference at a car show. I normaly clean everything with simple green then i put armor all on anything that is black(put it on when you get to the show). Armor all will pick up some dust when you drive it but if you go over it once a week or so it'll look great all the time. Also get some quick detailer and a California car duster .
good luck

Don't forget to clean and dress your wheel wells. That usually the only place that I use Armor All. But I do dress everything else rubber under the hood and elsewhere with Z16.

Here's some good ideas on cleaning the engine and getting ready for a show...

Printing up something with your mods or some info about your car is a good idea. Doesn' t have to be anything big. I have an 8.5 by 11 sheet that I put up on my dash myself. Here's what it looks like for an idea...

I got to get my car washed tonight myself. See you there tomorrow.

One more thing. I picked up a product made by mothers called "back to black". Its for all exterior moldings.I used it on the black molding around the windshield and it looks new again.
