Post Are Car Covers Machine Washable?!

Im thinking about buying a used custom-fitted Noah car cover. The guy said it could use a washing though. Can I use my washing machine? Or do I have to do it buy hand? What chemicals if any will hurt it's breathability, etc? Thanks, John.

Johnny,I have a nice Covercraft/Technalon car cover it is my second one because I lent it to my friend and he let it sit on his oily garage floor and it got oilstains on it.Well he washed the oil out of it and it came out good but then he threw it in the dryer.DONT Dry it it never came oout of the dryer it stuck in there and melted. So I would say that washing it is ok.....Hope this helps...Mark
