Car cover question

My car was sitting under a car cover for about 2 weeks during a nasty snow storm here in Chicago. I came home today to pull it off and the car has a bit of a haze on the hood sides and spoiler. The car was put under the cover as clean as a whistle, is this just water getting through? There was barely on the cover when I pulled it off. Will this just wash off or could it be a bigger problem.. (more scratches )?

I am going to just let the car get covered with more snow tonight since I don't want to mess it up more if its a problem. I can provide a picture tommorow if need be, its too dark now.

no matter what cover you use, there will always be moisture suspended in the air that will condense on cool flat surfaces like you car. moisture laden snow-air is no different.

I wish I never put a cover on mine, it scrached the hell out of my car. Its not in the best shape anyway but it sure made it worse

Well the cars sitting out in the snow / rain now, I think it will be fine cause it already looks better with rain on it. Gonna ditch the cover now, I figured for a few days when it storms it would be fine but guess not! Next big upgrade will be moving out and getting a garage

I used one the 'Noah' Covers for 2+ years w/o any issues. The car did go under clean and come out pretty hazy and dirty, but nothing a little 'Spring Waxing' didn't solve.

I would think that any cover would be better than none, as long as it's tied down tightly to keep it from slapping around on the car.

Anyone happen to know if you can wash a car cover? I have the vinyl cover that came with the 97 SS.

Probably just condensation. My Wolfe is supposed to be a waterproof cover, but it still lets the elements in depending on the weather.
