Re: Body and Paint

do not take your car to macco. you will be back in 2 years for another paint job cause thats about as long as they last. thats about just as bad as taking you car to jiffy lub to have your oil change

Re: Body and Paint

I know of some... I'm probably going to have this one guy in Omaha paint my Camaro and it needs some bodywork done. I had my sunfire painted at maaco over a year ago and they did a pretty good job but it didn't really need any body work. I wouldn't have my camaro done there because some parts like my ground effects have some cracking and will need stripped and refinished. The quality of paint also is not as good from what I've heard. Anyways Chad's Custom Image Motorsports does good work and so does Bruno's.. the guy who I want to paint my car works at a shop and is going to do my car on the side so it is less than both of those however.. I'm thinking of getting my car painted a little darker blue with silver metalflake and a pearl If u want any more info feel free to pm me

Re: Body and Paint

OMG, I would NEVER take my car to MAACO. I would take my car to jiffy lube for an oil change before I brought my car to MAACO for a paint job. They get em in a ship em out as fast as they can. It looks like they tape a car in about 3 minutes, tops. Orange peal out the A hole. Bondo falls out and cracks. They are horrible. I don't know anyone in your area, but I know enough to tell you not to take it to MAACO. I have seen their work.

Re: Body and Paint

MAACOs idea of a paint job is to scuff your existing paint and spray and pray, that it sticks. They do a paint job in like 2-3 hrs. Bare in mind that thats with prep, removing any badging, taping, papering, painting and giving it time to cure. If you ever use a pressure washer...youll be back to bare metal. And why are you guys so hard of Jiffy Lube? Ive had friends that work there. Good place to use while doing the work myself and the materials are the right price!! Wouldnt let one of those morons touch anything Id want to keep, let alone my baby!!
