Cool

black cars can be a pita to keep looking good, but like anything else, if you work at it they look fantastic when properly done.

dust accumulation does seem to show up much faster on dark colored cars.

when you get your car be sure to get some Klasse to keep it looking top notch.

Wash it, wax it, wash it, wax it, wash it, wax it.....you get the point! Mine stays shiny as glass, but it gets dirty easily, so I wash it at least twice per week, sometimes more, and wax it about every 3 mos....it's also a daily driver. More effort than say a white car, but when you have it clean, it is beautiful. I love my black car!

No matter what kind of wax or polish you decide to use (for sure use a totally non abrasive formula) your keys are:

1. ONLY use 100% cotton cloths to buff and to wash with
2. Get yourself a California Car Duster, it is a must have for a black car owner.

Black cars were always a love/hate relationship with me. Clean NO color looks as good as black, then an hour later you see all kinds of bug fragments and toxic waste on it.........drives ya nuts!! I have said I'll never drive another black car again, then you see one all clean and say "I WANT IT". For a daily driver it can be maddening- if you have a garage to park it in then maybe. BTW i saw this new SS Camaro at the store the other day.......black.........its was UNREAL looking. I mean the T-Tops were open and I wanted to jump in a drive it to California. Its amazing how well a black car can look-and how easy it is to look bad too.

I just traded up a black 99 Camaro for a Pewter 99 Camaro. I LOVED my black car like nobody's business.... however, I gotta admit (at the risk of dishonoring the memory of my last Camaro lol) that I like this Pewter paint much better. My last car went from looking like a godsend after a wash and wax to looking like a grey hunk of slate after a heavy rain. My pewter paint looks the same no matter what happens to it! It always looks awesome, even up close.... sooooooo much easier! And still turns heads! It doesn't have the "Knight Rider" look, but much classier.

Bottom line... if you've never owned a black car and you want to, then you should...something everyone should experience once. But for a lot of us... once is enough!
