Eagle One A2Z its called...works AMAZING.

Its like 4 bucks per container, but I have had nothing that works better. Go to auto zone pick it up and give it a try, you will NOT be disappointed...even if your rims look black there is no scrubbing involved.

If they are real bad just spray some on, take a rag and rub it in a little...hose that off...then spray on one more time and let it sit for like 30 seconds and then hose off one final time. It works wonders and the good thing is that it works on any typr of wheel.

Cool

I'll move this to the Show and Shine section. Even though this is called the Appearance section, it is for appearance modifications

Brake dust by it's nature can get a real grip on your wheels. Most likely it will come off. It is very important to keep coated or painted wheels as clean as possible because brake dust can mess them up if left for long periods.

Once you get them clean, try to wash them thoroughly as often as possible. Avoid using the wheel cleaners on a regular basis because they more often than not contain acids which can eventually damage the finish on your wheels. Rinse thoroughly!

When my wheels are bad, I use diluted Simple Green and my small pressure washer to get the majority off. Spray and blast. Even a hose end sprayer will get most of it off after the SG has been on there a few seconds. The Simple Green cuts it very fast.

Then I wash them with a mitt and two capfuls of carwash soap to a gallon of water. Rinse well.

I'm sure there are better methods, but this works for me.

Yes, Jeff, has a good point. Keep in mind that if the wheel cleaner is so strong that you spray it on, hose it off, it's probably strong enough to cloud or etch your wheels too. Most of these types of solutions are based on acid. The acid is what eats away the brake dust and dirt. The stronger the acid, the easier it cleans the wheel, and the easier it is to cloud or dull the finish on the wheel over time. You don't want to use these strong cleaners very often at all. I recommend that once you have them cleaned, clean them with a milder solution like Simple Green or even your car wash soap during every car wash. Otherwise you may notice your nice wheels taking on a duller or cloudier appearance after a while.
