best way to remove tape residue?

I previously had ground effects on my car that I just took off but the double sided tape residue is still there. Is there a good way to remove this with out damaging the paint? I tried goo gone but it didnt work to well

3M adhesive remover is the best stuff I've ever used for that.

Have you tried putting a blow dryer or heat gun to the residue? Could soften it up a bit for you to peel back.

Goo Gone or OOPS both work good, available at walmart.

If it hasn't dried out so much that it's crumbling, try heating it and then rolling it with your thumb. Ideally, it will roll into nice little nuggets and leave behind little residue. The more you can get off WITHOUT using Goo Gone, laquer thinner, etc. the better. However, if it is dry and crusty, skip straight to the laquer thinner. It wont harm a cured basecoat/clearcoat finish, but test it first.
