I use an Artifical shammy. To me, it feels like it slides over the paint smoother than a "real" shammy. The only down side is, it doesn't soak up as much water, so it takes a bit longer, and requires more ringing. But I prefer this over all methods.

I work at a Gas station, and one day I was pondering how I could make my own dryer system, like they have there. I never thought of a leaf blower!

Next fall when they go on clearance, I might pick one up.

i just use towels.. dont have a leaf blower.. i used the absorber for quite a while.. and unfortunely, the absorber absorbed some excess dirt and so when I use it now to dry up the remaining water, it leaves tiny tiny dirty water molecules behind.. so now its just good ol towels...

Ok, two people already asked and no one answered, so I'll repeat because I'm curious too: how much do the leaf blowers cost

It took me only a split second to find this - you may want to try doing a search on the net sometime for stuff like this........
Use Google

First thing I found on leafblowers.....

Alright guys, the Toro leaf Blower rules. I know cause I've tried just about everything except the waffle MF towels. I bought my leaf blower at home depot. Up here in Canada it cost $99.99, that's about $65.00 US. It has two speeds and on high it blows 215MPH. I guess that means it'll go faster than any car.

215mph toro electric leaf blower here as well. works great. no water drippage from the cracks and then just go over it quickly with a cotton towel and viola!

another vote for a leaf blower. I used one for the first time, and damn did it do wonders. Usually when I dry a car, it uses up like 5 cotton towels, with the leaf blower, just 1.

Leaf blower? I don't want any air (and any air borne crap) hitting my car at over 200. I've used a CLEAN Absorber to get the majority of the water off and then followed up right behind it with a CLEAN 100% cotton towel for years. One section at a time. Massage your baby.

200 mph? hahahaha. Your not supose to put the blower 3 inches away from the paint. There's no way my leaf blower is blowing 200 MPH air at my car. Get a leaf blower, they work GREAT!

Well your car can already go over 155+ MPH, (I think there's a limiter on their, like on my car, take it off/disable it)

I have a 16 gallon Craftsman shop vac and it blows 230 MPH, I just use that cuz the engine part comes off and can be used as a leaf blower.

Yeah, I saw those at Sears last weekend. That would be nice to have a Vac that doubles as a blower too. I've got a Shop Vac for vacuuming, but those new Craftsman vac/blowers are interesting. How well does yours "suck and blow?" LoL I wouldn't want it to be underpowered or anything.....might have to look into those.
