Arrow Best rubber protectant for T-tops, windows is.......

I'm doing research on what is the best cleaner/conditioner/protectant for the delicate, important rubber around T-tops and windows of the Camaro F-Bodies. I think this may be the most important area to keep clean and protected due to potential water leakage.

It's called 303 Aerospace Protectant and it appears to be the best stuff out there. Check it out.......

Thumbs up

303 and Zaino rubber dressings ARE the best out there, bar none... Both leave a satin low key gloss (for less glare), provide UV protection, and are long lasting. For interior and rubberized pieces, neither can be out gunned!

I still use Meguiar's for some areas though b/c it's cheaper and provides just as much protection...IMHO.

BTW, 303 offers free product samples in small packets for those interested! Check it out... http://www.303products.com/samples.htm

Mike, Great website and what a beautiful Camaro you have. Thanks for confirming on the 303 Protectant! What do you use your 303 on? Tires? Do you touch your interior with any cleaners/conditioners? How do you mix the Zaino and 303 together and is it safe to do? How do you apply it to the delicate rubber moldings in the t-tops and windows? As far as the Meguiar's products, what do you use?

Thanks for any tips,,,,,,,,,,

Hello Ray,

Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate it!

I mainly use 303 on just the dash area and the smaller plastic or rubber interior pieces that see direct sunlight everyday. 303 gives those areas the protection they need without the annoying glare of those ultra-oily/greasy/shiny products. Sometimes, I'll use a couple Meguiar's protectants, one called "Intensive Protectant", the other is their regular cleaner protectant on the interior plastics. The Meguiar's does have more of a cleaning action than the 303 or Zaino, which removes any grime that may build up. So, I start with the Meguiar's to thoroughly clean the surface then follow with 303 for protection. I usually apply the dressings with a microfiber rag.

For the tires, I strictly use Zaino. It's also a low gloss, no sling, no mess formula with UV protection for rubber surfaces. It gives the tires a new look, but not overly glossy like the loads of greasy silicone they pile on at detailing shops. I have been VERY unhappy with nearly every tire dressing I've tried for one reason or another, until I tried the Zaino forumla. It does everything I want and nothing I don't. I understand the Zaino can also be used on interior pieces, but I have never tried that, since I already have plenty of interior protectants on hand. I apply the Zaino with a foam pad for even application and quick saturation of the pad.

I don't have t-tops, but everyone has those small rubber mouldings that tend to crack or fade. So, I use a small cotton cloth with some 303 and lightly rub the trim until it's nice and moist with product.

For the interior fabrics, I strictly use Lifter1. Best stuff out there IMO...

HTH!!
