Best product?

I still don't have the money or time for Zaino but am going to have about 6 hrs to spend all alone with my car inside. I've used Meg. Gold Class Paste up to this point. Since it's almost gone I was just wondering if there was something that was better? It has to be readily available and have only one step application. Thanks.

Since it's voting day , my "vote" goes to 1)DuraGloss #111 CCP and 2)Liquid Glass 3)Meguiar's #20 sealant. All are 1 step, apply and buff. I prefer the DG though over anything I've ever used locally....leaves a very slick surface, good shine, and seemingly good protection, and easy to use. The DG is about $5-8 depending on where you buy, the LG is $20 at AZ.

When you say buff do you mean that they need a buffer or can it be done by hand? So you think that the cheaper DG is overall better for less money? Thanks.

Sorry for the confusion, definitely by hand is the way to go. I actually prefer applying most products by hand. A buffer isn't needed to apply any of the mentioned products.

Even though the DG is cheaper, I'd choose it over most anything else in a line up of the majority of local poducts, some costing 4 or 5 times more.

I failed to mention though, if you are looking for a pure carnauba only wax, with no abrasives or cleaners, I'd recommend the local alternative to P21S Concours wax, called S100. S100 is exactly the same wax as P21S for $10 less. I've found it and the S100 precleaner at the local Harley dealer for less than $25 for both products. The wax itself is about $15 I think. It also leaves a very slick surface, deep shine, incredibly easy to apply, but it's very very greasy feeling and can leave streaks that are a PITA to remove. Overall though, for carnauba waxes, this is my pick. The other products I mentioned are all synthetic based, some with cleaners, that are more durable than carnauba products and leave brighter shines.

So, I suppose my recommendation for local stuff is, Synthetic: DuraGloss #111 or LG, or Pure Carnauba: S100 (same as P21S). In most cases the synthetics will be much more durable, offer greater protection, including UV, and leave a brighter shine if that's what you like.

I just checked out the DuraGloss web site. Will the #111 remove swirl marks by itself? I noticed that they make the # 101 Polish & Cleaner. Would that be better or is it too abrasive?

Would any of these products be worth the time/cost before the #111/101?
#601 Polish Prep
#652 Precleaner
#671 Swirl Mark Remover

I would ask the company but I am sure they would tell me what I wanted to hear to buy the product. I'd rather have first hand knowledge or at least a some what unbiased opinion. Thanks alot.

Anybody currently use the Duragloss products?

No, the #111 CCP is nonabrasive and will not remove swirls. I like the #111 is better than the #101 Polish and Cleaner. From my experience the #101 is very very mild as far as cleaning ability, the shine doesn't seem as good, and it seems a little bit tougher to use overall. The #101 even seems milder than a typical cleaner wax like say Meguiar's C/W or Liquid Glass or something similar. I just don't tend to prefer "cleaner wax" or "cleaner sealant" products though. In general I just wasn't as impressed with the 101 as I have been with the 111 polish. But, that's me....others may be totally different.

I have never used the DG Polish Prep, PreCleaner, or Swirl Remover products, mainly because I can't find them. The only one from those I've seen on the shelf is the swirl remover, and I might try it in the future when I have time. I would like to find the precleaner or prep though. When using the #111, I apply it to a freshly washed or prepped car, let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes then lightly buff it off. I assume their swirl remover is compatible with the polishes, but the info is so scarce on the products, it's hard to find out.

The info I've received from the DG company via emails is usually pretty spartan in detail. In fact, there's not a lot on info on their website either. I just use the products like any other typical "wax" and they seem to work fine this way. Do any necessary prep work (if any) before using the products, then apply the polish and buff. I guess they're supposed to be so easy to use i.e. "idiot proof" that not much info is needed on proper application. All I know is that they seem very easy to me!

I ordered Mother's clay already from a local NAPA. If the #111 doesn't really do anything for the swirls and another product or step is required then I'm getting very similar to Zaino in price and time. If I get the Mother's clay, Z5, Z7 and ZFX I am assuming that the results would be better w/ the Zaino than the DuraGloss w/ the extras. I just don't know if I can have it here by Friday?
