Yep, Griot's Engine Cleaner and Engine gloss... that's what I use.

CD2 is very popular for engine detailing. http://waxdepot.safeshopper.com/65/315.htm?218

I also hear it's available at Target stores and the like. IMO Griot's is overpriced on just about everything...they have huge markups, but the products are decent.

Thanks for the info guys.I'm lazy when it comes to cleaning under the hood so the fastest way with the least amount of work is what i am looking for.I know about that opti, just replaced it for the third time due to a leaking water pump.

If your engine looks like mine you can forget all that spray on and hose off cleaners, and high shine dressing. This kind of engine only takes plain water and car wash and then everything must be hand polished after that

KevinSS, that engine compartment looks mighty impressive. Too bad you don't have a window mod, like a computer case

    Cool

Man,I can only dream of mine looking like that.Where I live if I tried to keep mine looking like that I'd spend more time cleaning it than driving it.That is one nice looking motor though. Most of my problem is dust that always settles on mine and mechanics that make a mess under there.

I have solved that problem, I am my own mechanic, no one touches my engine except me. I drive the car all the time, just not in the rain.

Octane, please tell me your engine bay will never look like that first pic again......

Personally, I use CD2, and achieve GREAT results..

CD2 works well, but so does Simple Green Automotive and Castrol Super Clean with some water.
