I coated the majority of my Formula's suspension parts with Por 15 about three to four years ago. And the parts still look great.
I even used Por 15 around my house (the exposed steel beams and pillars in the basement and garage). I also painted the gas meter outside my house with Por 15. (FYI - the paint fades when exposed to the sun).

I have used it for years, and it holds up great. I used it on the frame of my Monte Carlo when I redid all the suspension 3 years ago and it still looks as good as it did when I first did it. Surface prep is the key.

I tried it on a beater S-15 that had damage to the rear bed-side. (accident and rust holes) I even layered on some fiberglass mat and used por-15 as the resin
and it held up for a few years before the truck got turned into a Fiat, and this is up in Maine. POR-15
I have used it on other vehicles without problems other than fading in the sunlight.
