Just wondering if anyone had their engine steam cleaned b4. I know they have this done whenever u buy a used car from a dealer..looks brand new. I've recently seen some portable steam cleaners on tv. Has anyone tried one of these...maybe i'll go to walmart..buy one and then take it back. How much does having your engine steamed usually cost?

Not to dis your idea, but if you haven't tried it, a sprayer of real weakly diluted simple green and a rag will get your engine by looking pretty new. After that go over the hoses and stuff with some son of a gun or somethin like that. I like tire foam in the can for the hood liner, makes it look black and new. But the steam cleaner is a pretty good idea, it's just too much trouble for me.

I could have sworn I heard steam cleaning is bad for the engine electronics.
