anyone detail on the side?

Detailing cars on my day off once again

All my neighbors are always impressed with how I keep the Camaro and tahoe, the are my rolling business cards

Did a Black 05 honda Pilot today with 5,500 miles, it was already washed and in the garage when I got there, took me a few hours, (first black car ever) afterword I backed it out to do the wheels and tires and clean off the remainder swirls in the sunlight, it came out awesome! they were very impressed, it was my first black car! looked great but I dont think I'd want to own a black car myself

I'm going to do their Liberty tomorrow, also black.

I figure $100 for a midsize SUV, but any advice or idea's on how to go along doing this even more? or getting more people? If I could do a couple a week that would really be great.

If you look at my "Services" page, it is listed among the products available.

P.S. Pay special attention to my name in my signature to avoid any assumptions

Re: anyone detail on the side?

I saw it in the products. I was wondering if you use it in the detailing?

My products available are products I can and do use during details.

Your prices are too low IMO unless you don't really do a 100% job and just sorta give it a 'quickie', or unless by "starting at" you mean for a compact car and it goes up quite a bit from there.

Every job is given 100%, and I'm pretty decent at what I do

My "starting" prices are for compact cars, two-door sedans (think BMW), etc.

Re: anyone detail on the side?

I detail on the side. With school and work I dont really have too much time, untill summer. Just did a Tahoe last weekend though, that was fun! I guess I charge on the high side, but my work is more specialized. I charged $130 for exterior on the Tahoe (white) and that was wash, clay (removed all contaminants which takes a long time on white) then polish to remove all swirls and seal as LSP. That one took forever, 8hrs! But like I said, it was fun!

Re: anyone detail on the side?

man, i thought i was doing it too cheap. I just did a 02 Z71 pickup on tuesday and charged the guy 250 dollars. he paid it with no remorse. Here is a list of the things i do

complete detail of the interior (windows, dash, all plastic, shampoo the carpet)
then on the outside i started with just a fast wash to get all the crap off the paint
then i claybar
then i do a very good wash
then i use ZPC and buff the car with a porter cable
then i apply Z2PRO
then Z8 (i think) grand finale spray
then i do the wheels and tires

I use nothing but zaino and have barely started doing them on the side. I got lots of people asking me about my car and how i kept it soo clean. then one day when i was doing my bosses truck a few guys stopped in and asked if i would do their personal trucks. well 3 trucks and 750 dollars later they were all satisfied and now i have more people calling me. its kinda hard when i only get 2 days off a week and every other weekend off. but i mean 250 dollars for 5 hours of work isnt that bad. BTW, if you guys havent heard of it, go to protectall.com and order some of there car wash. It is soo simple to use and cuts the time of washing in half. All you do is add a couple of capfulls to a few gallons of water and wash one section at a time. when you are done washing just wipe it off and dry it and you are done. it doesnt sud up and there is no need for a hose to rinse the car. it makes it soo much easier because you dont have to worry about water leaking from cracks and it does not take long at all. I am very picky about what i use on my car and I would definetly recommend this.

Re: anyone detail on the side?

Prices are going to depend largely on given areas and markets. *I* shoot for $35/hr.

Re: anyone detail on the side?

yeah see there are only a few other shops here in town that do it and they all charge around 250 but they dont look near as good as when I am done with them. I think im going to charge 250 for bigger vehicle but only 200 for the smaller ones.
