Post Anybody have suggestions for hardcore brake dust removal on rims?

My now 22-year old '79 Camaro Z28 Aluminum rims have 22 years of brakedust caked up on them, and I've tried every cleaner i can get my hands on, but to no evail. There any hardcore blasting or something I can do to clean then up to like new?

I use Meguier's Hot Rims. Comes in a pink/purple spray bottle and took off brake dust that I couldnt get off with anything else. It was on there a while too...

You just spray the solution on dry wheels, let them sit for 2 minutes, and rinse them off.... most of the dust will come off, the rest will be loosened up enough to come off with soap and water...

There is no price on it 'cuase it's a one-of-a-kind... Let's just say it wasn't cheap! I got it off some guy named Doc Brown... he was using it on some old Delorian...

I tried to get one of those Flux-Capacitors off of him too, but all I ended up getting was a shiny bomb-casing filled with used pinball machine parts.

I second Meguires Hot Rims. I just tried it for the first time last weekend and it worked great. Didn't need to scrub at all!
