after zaino care?

ok I zainoed my car today, 3 coats, and damn does it look great.
But its suppsed to rain tonight, and I want it shining like no tomorrow for a road trip on wensday.
So do I just wash it with a mit and the zaino car wash stuff? then put another coat on?

Thanks for any help.

Also I noticed I zainoed over some old bug guts.... how do I get it off now? the clay bar doesnt seem to work anymore with zaino on.

You do not have to keep putting coat after coat of either Z-2 or Z-5 (do not know which one you used), all you have to do is wash it with Z-7 Car Wash and a cotton or wool mitt (no synthetics) and then you can detail the car out after you dry it off with either the Z-6 Gloss Enhancer or the Z-8 Spray Seal.

The Clay Bar is what you are supposed to use to remove the bug guts BEFORE you Z-2 or Z-5 your car.

ok, what if I only have the Z5 (the wax)
Is it ok to put another coat of that on? I will try and get my hands on Z6 and or Z8 befor I go though.

I know you are suppsed to use it first, but I missed some, so it it stuck there?

The Z2 is the one that will get out little scuff and stuff right? I have two small spots that have a scuff, so can I spot use that?

Re: after zaino care?

Z5 is used to fill in swirls and very light scratches. Z2 gives a brighter shine than Z5, but doesn't fill in swirls, etc.

No, I think you better reread some applicaton information on www.zainobros.com Z-2 and Z-5 are both synthetic polymers (not waxes) that need to be activated either with the Z-1 or the ZFX. Z-2 is the high gloss version and Z-5 is the synthetic that fills in imperfections in the paint.

ZPC is the product that will remove scuffs and scratches.

You do not have to have Z-6 or Z-8 before you apply either Z-2 or Z-5.

Re: after zaino care?

hmm ok, I think I messed up or something, I have Z2, and put 3 coats on. I know its not a wax....

It looked great in teh parkade under floresent lights, but as soon as I took it in the sun its all streaky and crappy looking, and it can hardly be buffed out, takes forever kinda thing, all it does it move it around.

So where did I mess up? do I just have to rub the **** out of it to get it streak free?

You wipped off the Z-2 before it was dry, that is the only way you can get it to do what it is doing, just wash the car with car wash and the problem will be solved....

Re: after zaino care?

the trick to z2 is (btw: if you bought it within the last year, its z2 pro) you have to put it on very very thin, if you think you put it on thin, youre wrong lol...otherwise youll be buffing off that polish for days...with any zaino products they will make your car shine like no other, but without a good process before it, it will make all those ugly spots more exposed, what i like to do after i throw the z2 on my car is cover it with a nice wax, i use #16 from meguiars, smells like crayons and makes the paint pop ....results are nothing without preparation

Do not ever put any kind of wax on top of Z-2 or Z-5, doing so totally defeats the goal of Zaino, if you are going to put a wax on Zaino, then I would just not buy Zaino in the first place. Also, since 99% of all waxes contains cleaners, these cleaners remove and or degrade the Zaino properties, this is NOT how the Zaino system is used nor was it designed to be used like this.

Re: after zaino care?

well if z2 gave me the beading and depth of a quality wax like s100, natty's, or even #16 than ill use just that, but it doesnt....many people use it as the LSP, well i dont, and i get better results applying a topper over it...i get the durability/sealing capabilities of zaino with the glow and wetness of a wax

I have been using Zaino since 1998, I can tell you if you are doing everthing right you should have no problem getting depth and beading..............

Zaino always wins every durability test it has ever been in regarding how long it beads water, check out www.waxtest.com Out of 45 waxes tested, Meguiars number 16 placed 26th regarding durability and gloss whereas Zanio Z-2 placed first out of all waxes tested.
